Mr Warwick Rothnie, Barrister

Warwick was previously a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, practising in intellectual property law, trade practices law and telecommunications law. Amongst other things, he was the partner responsible for:

- Telstra v Desktop Marketing (first instance and appeal to Full Court);
- numerous cybersquatting disputes including Telstra v Nuclear Marshmallows (one of the most frequently cited ICANN UDRP complaints);
- a large Australian and international trade marks' prosecution practice;
- advising clients in relation to patent infringement and validity issues and information technology contracts and dispute resolution.

He is a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne, teaching copyright and patents in the postgraduate program.
